Whether you're up 30,000 feet, or at home but officially OOO, getting in the headspace for a Summer reset is essential before it runs/flies/swims away from you.
At the start of this month, we had some advice for you on identifying your tool kit, checking in with your goals and staying mindful throughout the heady heights that Summer offers. If you’ve been lucky (read: well-earned) the chance to jet off this summer, or perhaps have been able to explore a part of the UK, unplugging yourself from the switchboard of the day-to-day can be illusive at best. So if you didn’t get a chance to *actually* be up at 30,000 feet, you can still take a ‘view from the sky’ wherever you find yourself this Summer.
Some journal prompts:
Start with gratitude.
What’s gone well this Summer?
Who am I grateful to have in my world?
What are the ‘glimmers’ (opposite of triggers) of my Summer so far and how can I look for more of them?
And continue with curiosity.
Is there something I can add in to my diary that will help me reclaim my Selfcare Summer?
How am I looking after my needs as well as those around me?
Do my daily non-negotiables get me to my higher goals by the littlest each day?
Take a view from the sky
What can I let go of to make more room for the things/people/opportunites I seek?
When I land, return home, step back into the fold, what have I left behind me that no longer serves me?
The next time I get a moment to check in, what do I want to say has gone well?
