About Us
ILU’s story is about following your passion in life and taking chances when they are offered. Our founder Mary was a City lawyer for many years, walking the treadmill of career recognition and secure income. But her passion was in health, fitness and fashion, not law, and eventually she had the chance to make her big move.
And so ILU was born.
Our mission is to create beautiful pieces for you, the women who eat, sleep and breathe their dreams. Who set realistic goals but never stop dreaming. The women who make things happen.
We make beautiful and technical pieces for sweaty workouts and classes and soft, comfortable pieces for yoga, pilates and everyday.
Our signature look is seamless, modern, feminine and sophisticated.

BEHIND THE BRAND
We are a small team, based in St. Margaret's, near Richmond, Surrey. We love our local community and are proud to be part of it. We believe in personal, friendly customer service and we value each of our customers. We want to bring that personal service and local feel to wherever our customers are, across the nation and beyond.
ILU means beauty in Estonian and for us, it is the beauty of making things happen (and in case you hadn't spotted, it also stands for I Love U :)).
OUR ETHICAL STANDPOINT
We believe in fair trade and ethical working practices. All of our garments are designed in the UK and made in Europe, in factories we know, which adhere to the strict rules of the European Union.
We respect the environment. We source responsibly and do not greenwash. Our factories follow the high standards of the EU on chemical use and disposal. Our carbon footprint is low. We are always looking to reduce our impact on the environment.
