Listening to the call

Listening to the call

If, like us, you're somewhere in the midst of 'what day is it?' and 'when was the last time I moved with intention?' let this blog be gentle encouragement, huge solidarity and know you're seen.

It's all too easy to let Christmas be about 'them', your loved ones/little ones/elderlies/neighbours. If you work, your customers/patients/clients. The antidote to burnout? Micro-rest. Carving even 10 minutes that serves absolutely no-one but yourself, as often as you can manage, all add up to feeling like the main character in your life.

Because you're deserving of the love you give so generously. You're deserving of all the  selfcare, appreciation for holding up the sky and making those in your atmosphere happier by just being yourself.

If you can carve some time to just roll out your mat, step into fresh air (all bundled up of course) or take yourself on an adventure by foot/bike, the difference in the way you will experience not just the day but the whole festive period will be profound.

When we move with intention, when we choose activity that builds us up and isn't a punishment or to 'tackle the damage', we win in a very real way. The same as a call to rest, whatever the call is, listen to it and see where it leads.
