#ILUloves Podcasts

Posted on October 31 2021

It’s our Month of Love and we are celebrating all our #ILUloves finds across the platforms. A great way of learning and being inspired hands free (if you’re on the go) and something that we simply love are podcasts. Below you’ll discover a few of our favourites and why we come back each week…

Find them all on Spotify, Acast, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get YOUR podcasts

PRODUCTIVITY

Adrienne Herbert wrote the incredible Power Hour which was released end of last year, and has a podcast with the same name in which she gathers some of the most interesting people to discuss their daily habits, rules to live by and tips and tricks for getting the most out of the early mornings. This is a favourite to listen to on the move e.g. running around Richmond Park (our local), and packs a tonne of inspiration into roughly an hour of productivity goodness. Adrienne’s energy, ability to connect to her guests, and motivate anyone listening in makes this a highlight of the week in podcast land.

FITNESS/RUNNING

Jenni Falconer, radio presenter, founder of Kollo Health and creator of our favourite running podcast, Run Pod, is another podcast star that we’re totally hooked on. If you need motivation and inspiration to get out there this winter on the chillier runs, this podcast is like a celebration of all the very best things about running. For the nerds (which we most definitely are) there are some great guests featured each week, including most recently marathon record breaker Eliud Kipchoge, Joe Wicks and Iwan Thomas, as well as special bonus features on the RunPod Run Club members too. To listen is to be part of the club, making those solo runs a little less lonely.

BUSINESS

Ever since the first lockdown, we have been tuning into Conversations of Inspiration with Holly Tucker, founder of Holly + Co and co-founder of Not On The Highstreet. Holly is a campaigner for building and supporting creative small business here in the UK. Shining a light on the current (and then) situation and acting as what felt like a small business cheerleader to so many starting out or revisiting the drawing board, we’ve been fascinated each week to listen to how brands and businesses are built from the kitchen table. You can also buy her book Do What You Love, Love What You Do as a gift from you to you, or for someone in your life looking to turn a passion and skill into a thriving business. She’s been there, she has infectious drive, and she wants to share it.

LIFE / ENCOURAGEMENT

You may of read Untamed  by Glennon Doyle. If you haven’t, put this on your list! A quote that spread like wildfire since it was conceived is ‘we can do hard things’ also the title of our most-loved podcast, created and nurtured by Glennon, ‘sister’ aka Amanda and wife Abby Wambach. Starting as one a week, quickly upping to two (to our delight) this podcast aims to tackle all the ‘hard things’ that women face in society, their own bodies, their workplaces and roles at home, with the caveat that whatever the hard thing is, it’s felt by others too and it CAN be done. Most recently an eye-opening chat with Simone Biles and Laurie Hernandez on ‘HOW TO SAY NO’ - a discussion on prioritising wellbeing over pleasing others. Great company for a walk or run, or if neither of those appeal, an indulgent bubble bath. Once you’ve heard the heart-warming and soul-enlightening magic of this podcast, you’ll be 4 episodes deep and not sure how you got there…
