If lockdown brought us anything, it brought a perhaps not new-age but instead needs-must approach to working out. With gyms and studios all closed for well over a year, many took to their lounges, spare rooms, gardens and terraces to either begin or continue their fitness journey.
By reimagining areas of the home, we may of even benefited from decluttering and repurposing space that was previously unused, into a sanctuary for moving in new ways.
And what about our workout wardrobes? Did our spending on outfits, choice and quality of activewear diminish with the lack of Places To Be Seen?
We asked our followers and ambassadors the question:
Do you make an effort for virtual classes as well as IRL?
92% said they dress for themselves
84% said it impacted their energy
44% said they feel pressure to ‘dress’ for IRL classes compared to 56% who didn’t
To us, great activewear makes up the foundations of a great workout. When you can choose an outfit that you don’t have to worry about, that fits, flatters and functions, it sets you up to move in your chosen way with ease and confidence.
Making the decision to squeeze in a virtual class, a home workout, a run or cycle outdoors is a conscious choice to prioritise self-care. So if no one can see, why not dress for yourself? You are worth the time to choose well and feel great while you move.
