January doesn’t have to be all deprivation, challenges, lofty goals and beating yourself up for all of the above. It can be a noisy time in the fitness/wellbeing space, your favourite influencers and brands might be selling a brand new you, with their products, their lifestyle #inspo and #morningroutine , but instead of extremes, can you approach this new year with a softer lens?
Having movement goals is brilliant, getting inspired to get fitter/healthier/happier is brilliant, but, you’re also already brilliant. Starting any new year goal from a place of self acceptance, appreciation for all your body and mind does for you already sets you up to only glow brighter from within.
January is just a month in the year, like any other. Can it be a chance to ADD into your life more things you love or haven’t tried yet? Get curious about what’s out there, outside your usual commute, meal plan, running routes and favourite classes. ADD into your life a little challenge, change in perspective, different flavours, sights and scents, and notice with this ADDITION instead of SUBTRACTION that there’s a whole lot more joy to be found.
