We invited Lulu, a cancer survivor and THRIVER of NET Pancreatic Cancer, to the blog and to our shoot of our Starlight Sweats, to model for us and to share her story.
Lulu was diagnosed aged 33 with advanced-stage cancer. What seemed like IBS (typical for women of that age), turned out to be a very large tumour growing from her pancreas. She underwent a year’s worth of aggressive chemotherapy treatment and lifesaving surgery. Having been highly monitored since, with scans and blood tests every 6 months and since passing the ten-year mark, she can now go in annually instead. Everything has continued to look well and she is joyfully cancer-free.
We asked her what she thought of The Starlight Sweat, she had this to say:
A considered piece designed to provide comfort to those spending time in hospital for treatment or tests. It’s soft on the skin and looks as good as it feels. With sweatshirts being trendy right now. I’ll be wearing mine with baggy jeans and smart trainers, helping me feel pulled together whilst going for tests. Looking good on hospital days helps lift my mood and makes me feel confident. Thank you, Ilu, for creating The Starlight Sweat where style and function combine. Lulu x
