It’s World Mental Health Day, 10th October 2021, and as of today - according to Mental Health Foundation in UK it is estimated that 1 in 6 people in the past week experienced a common mental health problem
We wanted to share 3 mantras that will hopefully empower, inspire and comfort you wherever you are currently at. We believe whole-heartedly in taking time to consider how you are feeling, what you need more/less of as a preventative to overwhelm and exhaustion.
Using simple mantras from your morning routine, evening routine and the (often) messy middle could remind you of your very valid needs, and to encourage you to be more mindful of them. Positive self-talk, affirmations and mantras have been coined by some as a little ‘out there’, but there is now so much research to indicate the power of empowering statements that keep you centred, here are a few we love to adopt on the more demanding days.
I deserve to take up / create space
I am worthy of the same energy I give
I am capable, even on the toughest days
Simple but powerful statements to remind you throughout the day that you are deserving of the same love and care that you give, and by tuning into how we feel emotionally, the impact goes beyond ourselves and out into our surroundings.
